An Abdominal Aortic Ultrasound & Doppler is a non-invasive, painless imaging test that uses high-frequency sound waves to create real-time images of the abdominal aorta. With Doppler technology, it also measures blood flow to detect abnormalities such as aneurysms, narrowing, or blockages, which may not cause symptoms but can be life-threatening if left untreated.

How the Test Works
During the procedure, you will lie comfortably on your back while a technician applies warm gel to your abdomen. A handheld transducer is moved over your stomach area to capture images of your aorta. The Doppler function evaluates blood flow patterns. The test takes 20–30 minutes, is radiation-free, and is interpreted by our expert vascular physicians.
