A Renal Vascular Ultrasound & Doppler is a safe, painless, non-invasive diagnostic test that uses sound waves to create images of the kidneys and their blood vessels. How the Test Works
During the test, you will lie on your back while a vascular technician applies a warm gel to your abdomen. A small handheld device (transducer) is gently moved across the skin to capture real-time images of your kidneys and the blood flow in their arteries. The test usually takes 30–45 minutes and involves no radiation or needles. The results are reviewed by our board-certified vascular specialists.
