I had the wonderful opportunity to complete a clinical rotation at the Epic Heart and Vascular Institute under the supervision of Dr. Khan, for the month of June 2023. It was my first U.S HealthCare System experience and Dr. Khan played an excellent role in maintaining a good Doctor-Patient relationship.
On Day one, Dr. Khan gave me the opportunity and skills in utilizing the Electronic Medical Record HealthCare System, an important tool in modern HealthCare System.
I observed numerous procedures such as VenaSeal, Venous ultrasound, RFI, PCI, and Angiographies. We were encouraged to go through guideline directed medical therapies for all commonly seen Cardiac conditions. Dr. Khan encouraged students to participate in giving presentations from the Latest ACC/AHA Guidelines. And, I was delighted to present on Bicuspid Aortic Valve.
One of the most impactful aspects of my time with Dr. Khan was assign with patient histories, observing Physical Examination and the intricate task of discussing management.
I am highly appreciated for Dr. Khan’s Dedication, Guidance, and Insight that have enhanced my medical education. It was an extremely beneficial experience that will remain with me throughout my whole medical journey.
