During my observership with Dr. M. Usman Khan at Epic Heart and Vascular Center, I learned to evaluate patients, interpret EKGs, utilize the EMR system, adapt to telemedicine, and manage my time more efficiently. I also gained valuable exposure to stress testing, myocardial perfusion imaging, echocardiography, venous and arterial ultrasounds, interpreting coronary angiography, and venous procedures such as VenaSeal, Varithena, and radiofrequency ablation.Dr. Khan’s emphasis on kindness toward staff, teamwork, and the spontaneous questions he asked during rounds sharpened my clinical reasoning and made the learning experience highly engaging. I am truly grateful for his mentorship and guidance.
