Heart Care
At EPIC Heart & Vascular Center, we provide expert Nuclear Cardiac Testing near you to evaluate blood flow to your heart and detect coronary artery disease with high accuracy. Our board-certified cardiologists use this powerful imaging test to identify blocked arteries, assess heart function, and guide treatment plans with precision.
Nuclear Cardiac Testing is a non-invasive imaging procedure that uses a small amount of radioactive tracer to visualize blood flow to the heart muscle. It’s especially useful for diagnosing coronary artery disease, evaluating damage from a previous heart attack, or assessing the effectiveness of treatment.
Chest pain or discomfort
Suspected coronary artery disease (CAD)
Abnormal ECG or stress test results
Shortness of breath with minimal exertion
Evaluation after a heart attack
Monitoring response to cardiac treatments
During the procedure, a small amount of radioactive material is injected into your bloodstream. Special cameras then capture images of your heart at rest and after exercise or medication-induced stress. These images show how well blood is flowing to various parts of the heart and help detect areas with poor circulation or damage.
The test typically takes a few hours, including preparation and imaging time, and is completely safe under expert supervision.
Same-day nuclear test appointments available
Board-certified cardiologists and trained nuclear technologists
Latest SPECT and PET scan technology

Accepting most major insurance plans, including Medicare
Whether you’re experiencing symptoms or need a comprehensive evaluation of your heart function, our team at EPIC Heart ensures timely, accurate results with compassionate care.
